Vineyards: Grapes for our wine come from the Northeastern "Tre Venezie"
region of Italy, The Tre Venezie is made up of three smaller growing regions:
Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Climate & Soil:The climate is known for "cool nights and warm days," these
conditions in the Tre Venezie are conducive to exceptional grape maturation. The
soils are alluvial and vary from the calcium rich marl and flysch sandstone in the
more hilly regions to clay, sand and gravel in the valley.
Winemaker:team led by Oenologists Marco Dell'eva and Gianni Conte |
Winemaking:Our Pinot Grigio is harvested at optimal maturity levels. A soft
pressing was used to enhance flavor extraction while imparting minimal color
from the skins. The juice was fermented in temperature-controlled tanks and
a selection of specific yeast was added at a temperature of 20ºC. To intensify
the tropical fruit characteristics of the wine, a small part of surmatured grapes
where added After settling, the wine was cold stabilized, filtered and bottled
under sterile conditions, avoiding malolactic fermentation and preserving the fruit
characteristics of the wine.
Winemakers tasting notes: This wine has a clear, straw yellow color, with light
golden reflections, truly exotic, with apple and pineapple aromas and flavors. The
wine is light bodied, with a pleasantly soft palate and a long finish.
